Adventure in Cartoon Voice-Over
Players create a voice-over recording for a short, humorous cartoon. The main character is a student on a camping trip.
First, the players watch the cartoon with the voice provided by a professional voice actor. Then, players read the script and insert their voice recording into the cartoon. After the cartoon is produced, new drawing activities are unlocked.
Grades 2-4 may enjoy this game most. Reading level is Grade 3. The humorous cartoon may be enjoyed by many ages.
Players strive to produce a fluent, expressive reading of the script. The goal is to bring the character to life. Our humorous cartoons encourage laughter. The game provides players with a reading role-model, an opportunity to rehearse a short script, and a chance to watch their own cartoon.
The drawing activities are a forum for visualizing, exploring background knowledge, making connections between life and the text, and making inferences about the cartoon.
